Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior
A vigorous sequence of asanas accompanied by Ujjayi breath, a pranayama technique that involves deep, audible inhalations and exhalations through the nose, creating a soothing oceanic sound. The class follows a fixed 60 minute sequence of dynamic asanas, carefully curated to build strength, flexibility, and mental focus.
Alongside the physical practice, students explore meditation, chanting, and spiritual teachings, fostering a holistic approach to yoga that nurtures both body and soul. This dynamic blend of movement, breath, and mindfulness empowers practitioners to embody the principles of yoga on and off the mat, fostering self-awareness, compassion, and inner peace.
Hatha flow
The essence of hatha yoga works with “ha” and “tha,” the two major nadis that dominate our experience of the world. “Ha” represents the solar energy, while “Tha” represents the lunar one.
My approach to asana practice is inspired by traditional hatha with elements of vinyasa, balancing the dual energy that we all have.
In my classes, we pay attention to individual poses, alignment, and breath to create a blend that combines both strength and flexibility in the body as well as stillness in the mind.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a complementary practice to more dynamic yoga styles, that incorporates elements of Chinese medicine.
It’s a passive, slower practice that allows you to turn inward and tune into your mind, your emotions, and the physical sensations of your body.
In yin yoga, we hold postures for longer while not giving our maximum effort, as it works on our deep tissues by releasing tension.
Work on deepening focus and mindfulness through guided meditation or explore Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep.
While meditation is generally practiced in a comfortable seated position, Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down, entering a state where the body is consciously asleep, but awareness is present.
Accessing higher states of consciousness is something already available to you; I am simply there to guide you through my words.
